The opening day in mid-April of the new season is fast approaching; always a great day at any bowling club and at ours it is no different when we welcome back our regulars, new members and friends.
We also have bowling sessions for anyone wanting to learn on Tuesday afternoons.

Welcome to Alloway Bowling Club, Ayr - Bowls Scotland membership now active.
The Club was formed when the new clubhouse and bowling green was built at Cambusdoon Sports Centre in 1997. The Club prides itself on being a relaxed and friendly one – with the accent on fun. It is not tied to any national associations. Ladies and gents all bowl together without segregation and there is no formal dress or "uniform" on the green.
The season runs from early/mid-April to mid/late September. Each week there are 4 regular sweeps – one at 3.00 pm on Sunday and then at 7.00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (6.30 pm start in early and late season). The Club also organises internal competitions for members along with friendly matches against some other local Bowling Clubs. There are also fundraising bowling events through the year for the Members' chosen charities and various well-attended social nights to which all Club members are invited. All members can pick and choose how involved they wish to be.
Beginners are always made welcome and all equipment and tuition is available free of charge (for a trial period). Specific time on the green is set aside for new members to be coached. Anyone wishing to join would be warmly received and, with the matches at the weekend and during the week, there are many opportunities to play and then join with other members in the Clubhouse afterwards for a well-deserved refreshment.
The Alloway Bowling Club has recently been affiliated to Bowls Scotland which gives them access to all the benefits of the game in Scotland.
